Tiruchengode

Tiruchengode is a city and municipality located in the modern day Namakkal District, in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The famous Ardhanareeswarar (see Ardhanarishvara) hill temple (one of the 64 manifestations of Lord Shiva, representing the unity of Shiva and Parvati) is situated in Tiruchengode. This is an ancient temple mentioned in the Tamil work Silapathikaram as Neduvelkunru. It is also famous for Chenkottu Velavar (Lord Muruga) Temple, which is situated in the same hill.

This colony was formed during 1952-53, by the then President of the Handloom Weaver's Co-operative Society of Tiruchengode Tiru. K. A. Kasiviswanatha Mudaliar, for the benefit of the Handloom Weavers, latterly he himself realise that the income generated through Handloom may not help the family much, he seek the permission to put Powerlooms along with Handlooms. He has formed this colony with wide roads and a basic house for living and to do the weaving, that too he has arranged the loan at a small interest rate and the repayment by a simple emi on monthly basis. He has arranged a Public Health Centre for the colony people and the women and Nursery & Primary School for the colony children to study. In memory of the invaluable effort by the President Tiru. K.A.Kasiviswanatha Mudaliar, the colony people has requested to buried in the colony itself while he died on 11th September 1980, A monument was also built up for him by the colony people, it was proposed to open for public on 22nd May 1991, it was then postponed due to the assassination of Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Former Prime Minister of India on 21st May 1991.

Worst hospital ever seen .. Frequent changes of doctors is worst . Money minded doctors . Saying as 24 hrs , patients are treated by ward boys in night (mainly by one drunk person).. I' made complaint in collector office NKL but , bcz hospital chief is JD retired , they easily escspd . So, it's worst hospital in Tiruchengode
